More about the speaker

Clara is founder and current executive director of House of Djeli, Inc. It is a Maryland-based nonprofit with the mission to “promote PanAfrican Arts and Cultures in Maryland and beyond; thereby creating and strengthening bonds of solidarity and friendship across the African Diaspora and foster cross cultural diplomacy around the globe. “She is formally trained as a nurse and spent several years in the healthcare and wellness industries. After many years on the Western Coast of the United States, she now resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.
