We need your help!  IAHR’s legislation is now working its way through the Maryland Legislature.  HB740/SB999 ends direct release from solitary confinement to the community. Instead the bill mandates the Department of Correctional Services to provide transitional services 6 months prior to release.

HB742/SB1002 bans solitary confinement for people diagnosed with serious mental illness.
