Hebron – Documentary Film sponsored by PGPJC

On Sunday, August 5, Prince George’s County Peace & Justice Coalition is showing the documentary Hebron by Yousef Natsha, who grew up in Hebron and spent 3 years filming the struggles of Palestinian civilians under Israeli occupation in his West Bank hometown. The screening takes place starting 2 p.m. at the Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Road. For more information contact justpeacepg@earthlink.net or Donna Hoffmeister at 301-441-9377.

This 40-minute film pulls striking footage and testimony documenting the resistance of Palestinian civilians, often facing Israeli soldiers and trying to exert their fundamental human rights, such as education, religion, movement, and dignity. Natsha worked with Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) in Hebron for over 5 years and hopes to inspire international pressure on the Israeli government to change what is happening in his homeland.
