Greetings from the Maryland Poor People’s Campaign.
I am Shirley Eatmon and a member of the Coordinating committee with the Maryland Campaign. We have been busy for the past month doing outreach in the state to bring together impacted people, faith leaders, justice organizations and citizen activists. Our facebook page is set-up so please like us, www.facebook.com/marylandppc and share any events that are posted, and, we have a twitter account @Maryland_PPC and email Maryland@poorpeoplescampaign.org.
Our first event is the Unity Press Conference in Annapolis on February 5th, 10:30, in the House Office Building 6 Bladen St, Annapolis, MD 21401. We will gather around 10:00am. Please note that the Mass Gathering at All Souls UU on February 5th has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date
The Coordinating Committee is small so we need help on the sub-committees. If you are interested in helping out, the sub-committees are listed below with the point person to contact. Most of our meetings are phone conference calls and any time you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Your participation will help the Maryland PPC reach our goals for the 40 days of resistance.
