Hello,
Thank you so much for attending the “Rebuild Maryland: Climate Action Summit” this past Saturday. We were so inspired not only by the speakers and program, but also by how enthusiastic the response to this conference became. And if anything became clear on that day, it is that we have so much more work to do and all of us have a critical role to play. We hope you will join us in grabbing your tools and getting to work on Rebuilding Maryland. If you were not able to fill out a “Get Involved” form at the event, you can reply to this email and let me know how you’d like to help!
Attached to this email is the Maryland Climate Coaltion’s 2-page fact sheet all about our shared 2020 priorities. Please note that even this is not comprehensive in all the ways that Maryland is engaging on climate, nor does it represent our final vision. We hope you stay engaged with this process this year in Annapolis and into the future.
We were so happy to learn as well that Jax photography came to this event and provided excellent photography services pro-bono. You can see their album here. Many folks have asked for a link to the opening video detailing the current state of climate action in Maryland. It’s going through one final round of edits and we will send it out ASAP.
We also recorded the sessions that occurred in the Colony Ballroom and will be editing that content soon. We’ll send it your way to share with family and friends who couldn’t make it (or for your own refresher) as soon as its ready.
We’d like to give an additional thanks to all of the groups who co-sponsored to make this event possible; a complete list is below. Special shout out to the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, the Maryland Sierra Club and Interfaith Power and Light DMV for their contributions to this amazing day of action, education, and conversation.
And a special thanks to those who were able to donate to help cover the many costs of putting on an event of this size! If you intended to donate and would like to make a contribution now, it’s certainly not too late.
Thanks again and we look forward to tackling this climate crisis together,
Emily Frias
