Dear Immigration Action Focus Group members and supporters,
As of April 10, 2019 we have been received donations nations totaling just over $2,000 from about 45 people.
Just over one-fourth of the people who donated are on our mailing list. THANKS! The rest are friends, the general public or “anonymous.”
We are hoping that just about everyone on our mailing list will support this project, even if you can donate only a few dollars. We still need $1000 to meet our goal of $3000. We don’t normally as for donations, but this is a special event, made even more important by the Trump administration’s increasingly virulent words, policies, and threats towards immigrants and asylum seekers.
If you haven’t yet donated, you can do so through our gofundme site: https://www.gofundme.com/wherearethechildrenusa. Please consider donating in the next day or two.
No donation is too small.
Many thanks to everyone who has donated used pajamas. Keep them coming! Bring them to a Monday night meeting or drop them off at:
UUCC / Owen Brown Interfaith Center
7246 Cradlerock Way
Columbia, MD 210
Everyone is helping in so many ways because we’re all committed to changing the “new normal.”
Thousands of migrant children remain separated from their parents and held in government detention centers.
